Resources

This page provides practical tools and guidance to support successful land partnerships through Māla Match. Here, you’ll find:

  • Lease tools and templates to help formalize fair agreements
  • Grower resources for starting or expanding agricultural projects
  • Landowner resources for preparing and managing land leases
  • Compliance and policy basics relevant to agricultural and conservation use

While much of this information is grounded in Hawaiʻi’s context, the principles and templates can be broadly applied across different regions in the U.S.

Māla Match strives to advance equitable ʻāina access in a world where proprietary systems are dominant—connecting growers to ʻāina – glossed in English as “that which feeds”– one match at a time.
